HULL — Chief John Dunn reports that the Hull Police Department arrested a man on Sunday in connection with multiple vehicle break-ins around the Nantasket Beach Resort and Porrazzo Road.
NICHOLAS NARDO, AGE 22, OF WEYMOUTH, was arrested and charged with:
- Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle (Five Counts)
- Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device (Four Counts)
On Sunday, Aug. 27 at approximately 6:15 a.m., Hull Police were dispatched to the area of the Nantasket Beach Resort, 45 Hull Shore Drive, for the report of a male breaking into vehicles. It was also reported that the male was walking north on Nantasket Avenue.
Upon arrival to the area, the responding officer observed a male matching the reported description walking in the area of Nantasket Avenue and Edgewater Road. Upon speaking with the male, later identified as NARDO, the officer observed a Glock magazine in NARDO‘s right pocket. A subsequent search of NARDO led to the discovery of five Glock magazines. NARDO does not have a license to carry a firearm or ammunition.
Out of an abundance of caution, Hull Police officers requested the assistance of a Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit to search the area for a firearm. No firearm was located. The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department BCI unit also assisted at the scene.
Through a subsequent investigation, it was determined that NARDO had allegedly broken into five vehicles in the area Sunday morning.
NARDO was arrested at the scene and transported to the Hull Police Station to be booked. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in Hingham District Court.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
