HULL — Chief John Dunn is pleased to recognize Sgt. Ed Minelli who recently completed the Command Training Series: First Line Supervisor Course, offered by the Roger Williams University Justice System Training and Research Institute, in partnership with the New England Association of Chiefs of Police.
The two-week course took place Nov. 27-Dec. 8. The coursework, presented by experienced academics and law enforcement practitioners, addressed contemporary management and leadership concepts relevant to the responsibilities of first-line supervisors in a criminal justice agency.
Topics covered through the course included operational leadership and management principles, problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal communication, labor relations, disciplinary issues and ethical decision-making. Graduates of the course represented police departments from throughout New England.
“I would like to congratulate Sgt. Minelli on his completion of this course,” Chief Dunn said. “Completing this training not only reflects his commitment to personal growth and development but also enhances our department’s professionalism and capabilities.”
Sgt. Minelli has served the Hull community since 2014. He was promoted to sergeant in 2019 and is a METRO-LEC (Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council) regional SWAT team member.
