Hull Police Investigating Crash Involving School Bus

Chief John Dunn and Hull Public Schools Superintendent Judith Kuehn report that the Hull Police Department is currently investigating a crash involving a school bus.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Nantasket Avenue and W Street for a report of a crash involving a Hull school bus. Upon arrival, officers learned that a bus and motor vehicle had collided.

No injuries were reported. There were 14 students on the bus at the time of the crash and the students were picked up either at the site or at the Jacobs Elementary School by their families.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Hull Police Department.

Hull Police Investigating After Vehicle Strikes Officer on Motorcycle

HULL — Chief John Dunn reports that the Hull Police Department is investigating after a police officer on a motorcycle was struck this afternoon during a funeral procession.

At approximately 1 p.m., Hull Police received a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a police motorcycle unit on Nantasket Avenue at K Street.

Upon arrival, police learned that a 68-year-old man from New York, who was driving a white Ford F-150 pickup truck, was traveling east on K Street when he struck the motorcycle officer at the intersection of Nantasket Avenue.

The officer was traveling north on Nantasket Avenue in a funeral procession on the way to the Hull Village Cemetery when the vehicle struck him. He suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening and was transported via ambulance to an area hospital.

The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police. He was not injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Hull Police Department and Plymouth County Sheriff Department’s accident reconstruction team.
