Plymouth County Outreach Launches New Website

PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth County Outreach Advisory Board is pleased to announce several improvements to the official PCO website.

The site, which can be found at plymouthcountyoutreach.org, now features a cleaner, more user-friendly look, and contains additional information on services available in and around Plymouth County.

One area of improvement is to the site’s homepage. Information on various treatment options is now easier to find, more prominently featured and broken into specific categories.

Under the “Services” tab, visitors can now learn about a new “team approach” that PCO recently integrated, funded by South Shore Health and in partnership with the Police Assisted Addiction Recovery Initiative (PAARI) and Beth Israel Deaconess Leahy Health in Plymouth, which is commonly referred to as the HUB Model.

Visitors can also learn more about harm reduction practices, which help make substance use safer and less harmful to the person using and to the community around them. This information can be found under the “Services” tab.

The site also features Plymouth County Outreach’s new Recovery Corner, a blog that is intended to be a safe space for anyone involved in the recovery community to share their experience, knowledge, or anything that could benefit others. The Recovery Corner can be found under the “In the Community” tab. Make sure to check in for new blog posts on a bi-weekly basis.

Get to know the PCO Advisory Board with in-depth bios and photos of members featured on the site, under the “About” tab, as well as a full list of partners and links to their websites.

“The new and improved look to our site will make it easier for those interested to learn more about our organization and the services our partners provide,” said PCO Project Coordinator Vicky Butler. “The site is now maximized for all devices and platforms, making it more accessible to as wide a range of people as possible.”

As before, the site will also allow visitors to connect with PCO staff, learn more about the services PCO provides and stay connected through PCO’s various social media channels.
