HULL — Chief John Dunn reports that the Hull Police Department will seek to issue a summons to a Hull man who allegedly shoved a town official shortly after Town Meeting over the weekend.

A 70-YEAR-OLD HULL MAN will be summonsed to Hingham District Court to face the following charges:

• Assault and Battery on a Public Employee
• Assault and Battery on an Elderly Person

On Saturday, June 13, at approximately 6:50 p.m., Hull Police responded to the Hull High School football field, where Town Meeting was held, for a report of a physical altercation shortly after the meeting came to an end around 6:30 p.m.

Through an on-scene investigation, it was determined that the 70-YEAR-OLD MAN shoved Hull Town Manager Philip Lemnios in the chest and pulled his mask off. The 70-YEAR-OLD MAN was apparently upset over several issues discussed during Town Meeting.

Lemnios declined medical attention.

The identity of the suspect cannot be released until the summons has officially been filed.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
